Hello, I found this interesting rock when going through my old things and wanted to see what it might be. It has been years, but I am pretty sure I collected it from the ocean in the Florida keys. I am leaning towards turlt shell, but I can’t see any obvious textures that would indicate that. The piece is about 1.5 in or 4 cm big. Here is the top side. When viewed from the side, you can tell it is a thin dark layer. Side View This is the bottom. It is much paler. I was also able to get some micro photos using a jewelry lens. They are not great, but you can see the texture better. Top layer micros bottom layer micros Lastly I got a micro shot of one of the sides

the round one not ideas at all but the brown one possibly turtle?...only problem there is is the ridges did turtles have ridges?.. or could this be something else?.
