Back yard find, along w/ other coral types. Clay soil w/ broken limestone, common in San Antonio. The lower portion has a few clear coral-type cells, Opposite end, usually w/ radial pattern in rugosa, is smoothed oval dome. Can't find similar type in variety of fossil sites online.

San Antonio, Tx I was curious as to what would cause a difference in sediment coloring? This piece isn’t like the other hardened sediment pieces I’ve found in my yard. The others are more brown or tan in color.

I found this in my back yard and was wondering what it could be? I have found fossils in my backyard before from the Bois Blanc Formation but not as nearly as much as the Lake Erie Shoreline right by and around my house (around Dunnville, Ontario) where lots of fossils are found. But yesterday I found this and was stumped, due to not finding one of these at all in my area, I’m guessing it’s some sort of coral due to the dominant animal of the Formations around my area is coral. Any thoughts, Thank you in advance!
