Ludwigia
Monday was the last time that I did a split shift before I'm headed off to full retirement at the end of the year, so as usual, I took advantage of the hours in between and headed off to the Kimmeridgian site in the ditch in the upper Danube Valley. Found a few nice things again this time. Well, winter is closing in, so I probably won't be back there again until the springtime now, but it won't be going away, since I seem to be the only collector that's interested in it. Lots of sponge amongst those ammos this time. 15 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

So, got any plans for your retirement? Thanks Actually I've been officially retired for 4 years already and was just working part-time, so I've been getting in some practice already. I think I might just do a bit more fossil collecting 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

Shamalama
Congrats on retiring.... again. lol Those sponges are interesting but rather amorphous. Preservation was not kind. Are they not siliceous sponges? -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. The sponges are calcified and as you surmise correctly, not necessarily always in the best of shape. 1 minute ago, Kane said: Congratulations on a well-earned and deserved retirement!
