XXFOSSILKINGXX
These are being sold on online for $10 as dinosaur coprolites from China. Any opinions?
Troodon
I find it interesting that the only animal associated with terestrial coprolites being sold are dinosaurs. Guess the others, croc, turtle, mammals etc did not poo. I find it difficult to be able to associate any species to these coprolites if thats what they are. Do you have any idea of age or deposit they are from? @Carl @GeschWhat
caldigger
They look as though they were fished out of the kitty litter box last week.

It was labeled as a turtle coprolite, but I’ve often wondered how they could come to that conclusion. @GeschWhat posted in another thread that these types of “coprolites” are questionable. I'd say two months ago. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

I would be perfectly comfortable with them winding up being something wholly geologic rather than paleontologic.
