Dinosaur Coprolites from China?

I find it interesting that the only animal associated with terestrial coprolites being sold are dinosaurs.  Guess the others, croc, turtle, mammals etc did not poo.  I find it difficult to be able to associate any species to these coprolites if thats what they are.  Do you have any idea of age or deposit they are from?

They look as though they were fished out of the kitty litter box last week.  ;)

These are being sold on online for $10 as dinosaur coprolites from China. Any opinions?

Yes.

Don't buy them.  :)

I have something very similar to this. It came in one of those fossil dig kits that are sold as science products for kids. It was labeled as a turtle coprolite, but I’ve often wondered how they could come to that conclusion. @GeschWhat posted in another thread that these types of “coprolites” are questionable.

They look older than that! I'd say two months ago. :default_rofl:

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

What sells best? Dinosaur ANYTHING!

I have a lot of doubt about these Washington-type coprolites. I would be perfectly comfortable with them winding up being something wholly geologic rather than paleontologic.
