is this a coprolite? found on Brazil

Recommended Posts

Hello, this was from my grandfather, and
I was never able to figure out what it really is.
It was found in São Gabriel, Rio Grande do Sul, to the extreme south of Brazil.
I particularly think this has an organic appearance, which is why I came to ask for help identifying what might be
(I apologize for the quality of the photos and the macro)

Size: 15cm x 9,5 cm

Welcome to TFF from Austin, Tx.

I believe this to be geological in origin, not a fossil.  It appears to be a botryoidal chalcedony specimen with quartz filled cavities showing (possibly more internal cavities not exposed, i.e. geode structure).

Again, welcome to the forum.
