Jonwealden
Thanks Bobby. Been working on this Spinosaur cervical vertebra, and associated skull piece. Bit by bit. 135 MYA so rather older than Baryonyx SP. 12 1 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion !
Jonwealden
Skull section. I'm not certain these are teeth sockets. But they appear to be. Could be part of the rosette, as the tooth sockets excavate deep into the rostrum. The bone is going deeper into the matrix, so more to uncover. Lateral view of the cervical. Sorry for the fuzziness. 10 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion !

Jonwealden
Bexhill and Hastings beaches are good for Dinosaur and fish fossils. Usually sea worn but not always ! Anyway, good to see there are some Dino fans on here. A wonderfully rich bone bed nodule from Hastings. Look forwards to exploring this one ! Hopefully some Dino teeth inside........ 7 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion !

Jonwealden
Found this morning, a huge Pterosaur pes, natural three dimensional cast ! Measures over 25 cm long, ! Which is substantially larger than the similar aged large Ichnite fossil of the Pterosaur Purbeckopus from Dorset, (which i think is considered representing the largest pterosaur for this geological time period, measures 18cm ). The profile has a nice triangular delineation, and bulbous pads and a nice pointy heel is preserved. Four digits, (the left is curving outward to the left in the image) . Flat reverse side 2 1 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion !

According to the scale here, it would appear its a bit less than 18cm. 3 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion ! Jonwealden
I reason i know this is Pterosaur because i am familiar with Pterosaur bone, having collected several Pterosaur specimens. It has obvious characteristics, including wafer thin cortical bone and internal air sacs. But as i only gave the one image here, i understand your asking. Here are a couple more images : 4 1 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion !
Jonwealden
Was lucky enough to make an amazing find, i collected this vertebra a couple of days ago. A gigantic proximal caudal vertebra from an Iguanodontid Dinosaur. What makes it awesome is its size. I have carefully researched and compared its scale to Iguanodon Bernissartensis, which represents the largest known Iguanodont at about 10 metres. This is at least 15% larger than the corresponding vertebrae in Iguanodon B. !! I do love Dinosaur, so this really made me shake with excitement as soon as i set eyes on it. I had a bit of trouble holding it up for the photograph, and i'm quite a strong guy. 8 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion ! Jonwealden
The two Iguanodonts represented in this locale are Hypselospinus (6-7 metres) and Barilium (8 metres). But over the years, my brother and i have collected some Iguanodontid material that certainly suggests far larger in this species. This is the most oversize element for Iguanodon i have collected in 22 years. 7 In the footsteps of Mantell and Anning, searching for dinosaur with a passion !
