Stegonick23
Hello everyone! A friend of mine was just given a group of fossils from a relative and has very little/no info on them. Through searching through this forum, we were able to I.D. most of the pieces, but this one we were unable to recognize and were hoping someone could help. There is no locality information associated with it unfortunately. Thank you everyone for your time/help, I really appreciate it!

TqB
The first thing that comes to mind is a hexactinellid sponge, with a texture like Hydnoceras for example - though maybe the relief is the wrong way round for it to be an impression? 5 Tarquin
doushantuo
I tend to agree with Tarq's opinion about it possibly being poriferan. Quadratic meshworks make me think of eg Protospongia(WHICH IS NOT MY opinion of which sponge it could be,BTW
piranha
Hydnoceras has distinct protruberances. Instead it compares with similar tubular genera like Dictyospognia. Wrangellian
Just came across this and have to say, congrats! Very nice. (My first instinct was hexactinellid sponge, too, given the netlike pattern.)
