dinosaur man
There Orthoceras, and agreed @Troodon I have a few polished ones but I like the non polished ones better. The polished one kinda look fake in a way.
Kane
If these come from Morocco, they may not be Orthoceras, but more closely related to Geisonoceras. The former is commonly used by sellers. I believe @Tidgy's Dad spoke of this in his fossil trip thread and could say much more. 1 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
Tidgy's Dad
Yes, the genus Orthoceras is now restricted to the Balto-Scandinavian area. These could come from there, but could be Moroccan, the preservation is right, though these have not been completely polished half to death like many are. If they're Moroccan, then the family Geisonoceratidae is a likelihood, but without the location and strata it came from or details of the siphuncle etc. it could also belong to one of several other genera of orthoconic nautiloids. 6 Life's Good!
