Hi I’m wondering what Ceratosaurus and other horned Theropods used there horns for? I’ve heard it was display but I’ve also heard it was for pushing rivals. Is there any evidence for these? Thank you!!

I guess but of course I'm no expert like Carnotaurus distinctive horns may have been used in fighting conspecifics. According to separate studies, rivaling individuals may have combated each other with quick head blows, by slow pushes with the upper sides of their skulls, or by ramming each other head-on, using their horns as shock absorbers.

I guess these would be good reads to start with

For horned Ceratopsian I think a good read may be the book "New Perspectives on Horned Dinosaurs: The Royal Tyrrell Museum Ceratopsian Symposium"
