Ptychodus04 Posted April 1, 2020 Share Posted April 1, 2020 Get a small amount of Paraloid B76 (readily available online. Dissolve it in acetone or ethanol at a ratio of approximately 1 part Paraloid to 50 parts solvent by weight. Brush it on or soak the piece in the solution. Acetone will form a somewhat glossy appearance. If this is not desired, rub the surface3 with a clean cloth soaked in acetone to remove the plastic from the surface of the specimen without affecting the consolidation.
