Hi there!

I'm hoping you can help me narrow down what animal this skull might be. Most likely from the California area. Thanks in advance!5e89e33391c8f_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13_29PM.thumb.jpeg.86dd9bf1008a53c8dc500d8191d870f7.jpeg5e89e34767973_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(8).jpeg.b05224d0b1f1baca69b8b49f656d6e0b.jpeg5e89e3455c5c4_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(7).jpeg.353bb6323f1241af53d35cb7cbf553ff.jpeg5e89e3429dd3a_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(5).thumb.jpeg.403ea9e593e77bdc0135797a6d379ce6.jpeg5e89e33fe1a95_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(4).thumb.jpeg.029b9146684f42bd41d18974dd8e7135.jpeg5e89e33c485b2_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(3).thumb.jpeg.f350e09462af88508a3bccf2594b0a46.jpeg5e89e339a4cb9_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(2).jpeg.d547ad1738e5e4c92c2f4bc328e2a638.jpeg5e89e33693e36_WhatsAppImage2020-04-04at7_13.29PM(1).jpeg.50b20cb789dfd200bb0ea278265f7a01.jpeg

I'm not sure if that's wear on coon teeth or tear on dog teeth. Somehow I would put the odds on dog until an anatomist rules it out.

The molars are way too wide for a dog.  This is a racoon.

I had a specimen but it was found in an old barn where wintered and I decided it was a biological hazard.

Probably nothing a little soak in hydrogen peroxide wouldn't take care of.  :D

Good for informative purposes. That barn was sold 20 years ago though.

Rats, a day late and a dollar short...not  uncommon with me though.
