Some peace river finds

Or bone?

Harsh light makes the two a bit difficult to see.  Antler is possible for the first.  The second reminds me of a chip from a mastodon tooth.

The first appears to me to be a fragment of the proximal end of a metapodial or possibly a phalanx.  The second is half a 'gator tooth.

Indeed the rings around the outside and internal conical void are likely what are indicating a gator tooth to harry (and to me). Broken cusps of mastodon teeth are reasonably common (though more complete teeth are maddeningly elusive). It is easy to identify even tiny fragments of mastodon molars as the cross-section of the enamel has a very distinctive striation patterning to it (which is not seen in this piece).
