rcurry26
This rock looks alot like images I've seen on internet could it be a fossil ? I have so many rocks I'm not sure if it's my collection or one I inherited. Mine are from California desert or san bernadino mountains
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Unfortunately, it is not a fossil - looks like a chert nodule. Perhaps if we knew what you are comparing it to, we could explain the difference. This specimen is 100% geological in origin. Keep collecting and keep on asking. That's how you get better at it. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
califossilhunter
Hmm, I'm not that is a fossil, but I wrote an article on where to find fossils in San Bernardino if it might be helpful. Happy hunting! https://californiafossils.org/category/county/san-bernardino/
