Thom2
Hi everyone, I have the opportunity to enlarge my fossil collection with a mosasaurus skull. However I am still not sure if this one is real or not. The teeth seem real but the skull make me doubt... can someone help me ? best regards Thomas

Fossildude19
Lack of bone texture to the skull bones. Obvious paint on the "bones". Tooth roots don't normally show that much. Sclerotic rings are rarely present in commercially available fossils. Skull morphology looks odd. Troodon
Let me add that skulls are made of numerous elements and when you see one that looks solid its a red flag. Look at the link Tim provided and you can see for example the jaw is not one continuous bone.
LordTrilobite
Run away. Ugly lumpy sculpture made from glue, sand and random bone with real teeth. It's also missing the quadrates. 3 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
Mark Kmiecik
The teeth look a bit large in proportion to the overall size of the skull. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

caterpillar
Even fakes sell for a fortune. And the worst part is that the expert does not see it Edited April 30, 2020 by Kane Removed auction link http://www.paleotheque.fr
