F&T
Good morning, My young son is very interested in fossils and founds these rocks yesterday. He was wondering what they might be and I was hoping someone on here may be able to help. Any thoughts on what these are?
Darktooth
I dont know what the 1st item is, but the item in the second pic, I believe, is the cross section of a crinoid stem. What is the size of it? I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
Fossildude19
Moved to FOSSIL ID. Welcome to the Forum. Is the first item wet? If so, dry pictures would be helpful. Size of the items would be helpful. Also, where in Vermont were they found? County, city? My initial reaction to these is that they are geologic in nature, rather than fossil/biologic. Better pictures in daylight might change my mind, though. F&T
Thank you Yes sorry they were wet in those photos. We found the rocks at the Chimney Point Bridge in Addison County Vermont along the lake. Here are some better photos of the front and back of each rock. My son was having fun with the first rock though and scratched it up a bit before I could get a better pic.
