Two very tiny fossils.

Hello, these tiny fossils were difficult to photograph, I had to improvise by sellotaping a magnifier to the camera lens, as I do not have anything that can do the equivalent where I am now.:)

I was wondering if one of them is possibly a bit of crinoid? The circular bit seemed to remind me of modern bone. Sorry they are muddy, I'd probably break them if I tried to wash them. Scale is in centimetres, and they were found in Northamptonshire, UK, which is Jurassic.

Thanks.

Thanks for all the replies. It seems that it most likely is a serpulid then? Does anybody know what the disc-shaped bit is?

Hi! The elongated piece is most likely a tube of a marine worm (serpulid). A while ago, I filmed one supposedly collected from Jurassic deposits in Ukraine.

See the tube at 10:04 on the video below. Here is an article about them: https://curioussengi.wordpress.com/2016/06/04/on-the-wings-of-worm-tubes/

Thanks. :)
