FossilizedShoe
Let's say I've theoretically found an active construction site in Summerville, South Carolina that I would like to go fossiling in. How would I get permission to go and poke around there? What days of the week would nobody be working there? Also, what would be the best way to begin looking for teeth at a land site? I have some experience in the Summerville creeks, but have no clue where to start here. I would really appreciate some input from those of you who happen to be knowledgable about this kind of thing. Joe_17
I would assume getting permission from the land owner would be common sense. I would absolutely not advise to poke around while no one is there . It might be monitored or a no trespassing area. Someone here would have better input too .
Miocene_Mason
Trespassing is a definite nope. I would ask the workers, they might not want the liability but if you are lucky they might let you in during lunch break. If they aren’t giving a yes, I would definitely ask the owner. 1 “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
