Partial Jaw Bovid, Cervid?

Is the location you found this jaw known for Pleistocene finds? If not, consider modern-day cow as a possibility.

Yes - that is a possibility. Two mammoth fossils (partial tooth and tusk fragment - see my other posts) and possible ancient horse tooth have been found in the same stretch of river but the majority of what around is modern. We find a lot of cow and modern hog.
