Christopher11
Evening! I spent a couple days in Bone Valley (FL) and found this. Is it something or am I just being hopeful? I hope I don’t look like a wishful idiot here. Thanks and stay safe everyone. chris Edited August 3, 2020 by Christopher11 Spelling
KOI
Hi Christopher11, it looks like a piece of a mammoth tusk or petrified wood to me. It's hard to be more accurate without looking at the fine structure of the specimen.

Not uncommon from that environment. Here was one of my own (falling apart) in a similar manner. @Shellseeker Cheers, Brett
Rockwood
A closer look is in order. I would lean toward whale tooth now. No wishful idiot in sight.

I appreciate EVERYONE taking the time to provide input. Thank you. - oh, and I have read a lot of the things found in that area area are from the Pliocene period....I’m sure that is harder to pinpoint but so cool i found something so unique. amazing....this was in an animals mouth from so long ago....
