Cheesey125
I am on vacation in Maine when I came across this weird rock that was completely different from all different rocks in the area. It had an outer layer that was very cracked up, but could easily be broken off from the the other layer, like a shell. It was fairly heavy, but it seemed so weirdly different! Planko
Probably going to be a concretion from all that I know. Which isn't a whole lot. I sill think it is really cool and would of taken it home. The peeps who know will want a much closer look.
abyssunder
Welcome to the Forum! The patterns of the cracked outer layer doesn't look right for an egg. I think you have a nice concretion. Sometimes there's a fossil in the center of concretion. You would never know if you didn't crack it open.
