Did I find something

I was rock hunting while cleaning up the garbage on the shore of Ohio river and I found this. It resembles a petrified tooth of some sort. Did I find a rock or is it indeed a tooth?

I can't see too clearly, but it looks like a misleadingly shaped rock to me.

I have to agree - suggestively shaped rock.  No enamel present, and no root/bone texture.

Enlarged, cropped, and brightened:

Welcome to the forum. I am in total agreement that this is not a tooth. With that said, there is a member that hunts a little east of you Who does find primative shark and fish teeth. I believe it is in the mudstones of the Brush creek marine zones. These teeth look nothing like the "shark teeth" that your rock mimics. This layer might be in your vicinity. I just wish I could remember who posts about this.

I also hunt in brush creek! I have a lot of petrified wood from there... but I wasn’t thinking it’s a shark tooth more of a gator lol.. but I guess it’s just a rock... the top of it was why I thought it was a tooth of some sort... it was like it had the root or whatever... would this forum be interested in seeing the wood that dinosaurs prolly ##### on? I have tons

I find it hard to imagine a dinosaur #####ing on a tree, but I'd nevertheless be interested to see a few pounds of it.
