sandyis
Hello was in Potomac river area hiking saw this rock, about 5 feet or more. On one side it had shape which looked like due to fossilized remains or head or pelvis of a animal or just water carved it? Ludwigia
Spooky looking, but no fossil. Like you said, "water carved" and eroded rock has created this masterpiece of natural art. 2 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Kane
My vote would be erosional forces. It also doesn't seem to be sedimentary rock, but metamorphic. Exactly! Defined as erosion: In earth science, erosion is the action of surface processes that removes soil, rock, or dissolved material from one location on the Earth's crust, and then transports it to another location.
