PrehistoricWonders
Hi all, I wanted to know if Proboscidea incisor is just another name for tusk... I’m considering putting in a bid on everyone’s favorite auction site, but I wanted to make sure it’s tusk.
Shellseeker
Sure... Proboscidea incisor is just another name for tusk , same is true for Rhinos, but why call a "tusk" an incisor... People are not confused by the word "Tusk".... but they might be by the word "incisor", just like you.... But I guess as long as it looks like this.... or this They can call it an incisor.... PrehistoricWonders
Yeah... I don’t really know why they would, I just wanted to make sure I was bidding on what I thought it was. Thank you!
