Is the a Saccocoma?

Hi all,

I was playing with my poop a while back, as one does, and discovered a hidden treasure. I prepped out what I think is a nice little floating crinoid. It looks beefier than the Saccocoma in my collection. Can anyone verify that is what this is? Thanks a bunch!

I agree it is more compact and has fewer arms than would be expected.

I don't actually expect it will be a help though. :)

I would say that this is, as you put it, a somewhat beefier Saccocoma than normal with, as Rockwood mentioned, a few missing or jumbled arms. Here's a website with Solnhofen crinoids to help out.

Sinosura would be a good ID in my thinking.

I think that with the spines (and five arms) it could be a Sinosura ophiuroid, maybe a juvenile?
