Mozfet
Good evening everyone depending on where you live. I'm new to rocks and fossils and I wanted to see if anyone knew what this strange rock formation may be. I live in Central Michigan where the rock was found. Attached images. Thank you much! Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. This looks like a chert or dolostone nodule to me. Not seeing anything fossil related here. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Rockwood
A second guess might be rhyolite, but I'm not at all certain.
