Entropy
Heres another. This is some sort of impression? Dunno. Does not look like much can be made from inspecting it but thought someone might find it interesting...or not.
Tidgy's Dad
Something in quartzite, perhaps a bit of tourmaline? Need clearer photos, please. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Ludwigia
I'm more inclined to saying that this is an ironstone inclusion of some sort, but the photos are too blurry to judge for sure. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Fossildude19
You don't mention where you are finding these items. Here is a geologic bedrock map of Connecticut. Fossils found in (native to) Connecticut will mostly be found in the Connecticut River Valley, with the tiny exceptions of some hard to find outcrops in Southbury, (Pomperaug basin) and the Cherry Brook Outlier in North Western CT. Fossils are mostly found in the red, gray, and black shales, mudstones, and siltstones. See my Jurassic Galleries for examples. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Entropy
Thanks for responses. In the middle of a move so I can post better photos later in December if anyone is that interested. I have found some other interesting rocks there I would like to post one day. As far as location more specifically. On your map, you listed Southbury there, I find these almost directly South of that location towards the coast on a large private property surrounded by rock above and below ground and caves. Sort of a unique area in Fairfield county.

Entropy
On the geologic map for the state the general area is designated by question marks. Perhaps because it’s a lot of private property? Edited November 29, 2020 by Entropy

That is what I have heard I did find one and used a different screen name for posting under the name “Extra” but can not for the life of me remember my password or email I used to sign up. The folks on this awesome site said it was a crinoid. So it gave me hope that if I could find one fossil, albeit probably dropped by a glacier or something, perhaps there were more So, being the goofball I am, I enjoy continuing to look on occasion. I really want to post a bunch more stuff in December just to see what folks think. But I do understand it’s scarce pickings and most of what I have is likely geological.
