Theodore Kasckow Posted December 21, 2020 Share Posted December 21, 2020 I was walking the dog on a sand bar on the Kansas River next to Bonner Springs,Ks. 12/16/2020 I found a roundish rock roughly 2" in diameter that has a lumpy texture. I picked it up and shook it and it makes a rattling sound as if the are seeds inside. Are there fossilized seed pods found along the Kansas river? I was going to hit it with a hammer and see what exactly is inside it but my wife said she likes it as is and hid it. Thus goes scientific inquiry!?
