Expedition Paleo
Hey everyone! I was planning on passing through Brownwood, Texas, which I know is definitely full of fossils if you know where to look. However, never having been there before, I do not know the best publicly available sites to hit. Would anyone happen to have any they could suggest? Thanks so much!

GPayton
I've never been myself, but I know that the Wilson Clay Pit is a publicly available site that is quite well known. The name of the particular formation it's located in is eluding me at the moment, but I know that it contains a multitude of Carboniferous (specifically Pennsylvanian) fossils. I'm also not sure where exactly it's located, just that it's west of Brownwood, but a quick google search should turn something up. Happy hunting!
