Possible Brachyphyllum from East Berlin Formation

A few finds from last week that may be Brachyphyllum. Comments/corrections would be greatly appreciated. Early Jurassic East Berlin Formation in Connecticut. All fossil pieces, except the the first one, are about the size of a US Quarter.

Nice finds. Pictures 2 and 3 look like brachyphyllum to me. I'm pretty sure about 3 anyway. It looks like some that I found in Connecticut a few years ago. I can't tell what the others are. Plant material of some sort, maybe brachyphyllum bits. Good job finding them!

Paul,

Cool finds.

1 - is tip and scale leaves of Brachyphyllum, possibly Brachyphyllum scotti

2 - is actually Pagiophyllum sp.

3 -  is Brachypyllum   See HERE.

4 - Some sort of plant material, but unidentifiable to me.

5 - Could be some sort of root system, or some form of Baiera multifida.

Thanks for the ID's, Tim. We can always count on you. :trilosurprise:

As you know, I found my Brachiophyllum the first time we collected together. You even let me take my blindfold off.

Start the day with a smile and get it over with.
