Large Fossils on Lake Erie's shores

Hi,

I found 2 large fossils on  th e shores of Lake Erie Ontario and I do not have a clue what they are.  Both of these fossils are approximately 24" in diameter.  Can someone identify them?

Indeed. Larger images are really necessary with something as indistinct as this. You can upload up to around 3.9 MB of images per reply to the topic. If you run out of upload space you can add further images in additional replies. ;)

I agree that the first is a tabulate coral. Likely a favositid. 

I believe the second one is a sponge though.

@Rockwood may be right  with the depressed center but I keep envisioning Syringopora.

Syringopora is an extinct genus of phaceloid tabulate coral. It has been found in rocks ranging in age from the Ordovician to the Permian, although it was most widespread during the Silurian, Devonian, and Carboniferous periods. Wikipedia
