amd
Hi, I found 2 large fossils on th e shores of Lake Erie Ontario and I do not have a clue what they are. Both of these fossils are approximately 24" in diameter. Can someone identify them?
Rockwood
Calcareous algae might be worth considering, but we could use a closer look.
digit
Indeed. Larger images are really necessary with something as indistinct as this. You can upload up to around 3.9 MB of images per reply to the topic. If you run out of upload space you can add further images in additional replies. Cheers. -Ken

Rockwood
I agree that the first is a tabulate coral. Likely a favositid. I believe the second one is a sponge though.

minnbuckeye
@Rockwood may be right with the depressed center but I keep envisioning Syringopora. From wikipedia: More images Syringopora is an extinct genus of phaceloid tabulate coral. It has been found in rocks ranging in age from the Ordovician to the Permian, although it was most widespread during the Silurian, Devonian, and Carboniferous periods.
