jnicholes
Hi everyone, So, a friend of mine and I are having a debate. He says that the fossils that my rabbit found are actually not fossils, but something else. I am skeptical myself, because of some of the properties of the fossils. Attached are pictures. The first one looks like a bone encased in rock. However, the rock can be attracted by a magnet. The suspected bone in the rock is not attracted by the magnet, though. Odd. It’s also breakable, this happened on accident. If it was metal, it would not break. The second picture looks like petrified wood, but the same problem, attracted to a magnet. Can someone help me settle this debate? Are they fossils or not? Any way to tell? Jared
FranzBernhard
Both specimens look like slag. Franz Bernhard
