Japanda
Would love some help identifying this tooth. Found at a local riverside park near Castle Rock Washington. Thanks so much!

TheShrifter
First thought was Cervidae tooth, from the deer family but the centrum on deer are adjoining. After comparing to deer skulls, say that this is of a modern Bovidae. I believe it to be a cow tooth.

But I agree with you, cow or bison. "Its webs of living gauze no more unfurl; Wrecked is the ship of pearl! Shellseeker
I think that it is an upper premolar. The tooth is smaller than I would have thought. Here is a similar one that is neither Bison or cow. I am not sure. Let's hope that Harry can clarify. @Harry Pristis The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
Harry Pristis
I think it's senile bovid, but probably not from a cow -- it seems too small for cow. Whatever it is from, the critter is likely to have been domestic -- fed and sheltered to enable a long life. 1 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
