LeviBess
Hello, i have this little piece of fossil (2-3 cm) that i have no idea what it can be. Its from falaises des vaches noires in France which is Cretaceous/Jurassic area. There are mostly marine fossiles here. I was thinking fishbone fragment or plant? If anyone could help me i would really appreciate it.
JamieLynn
that's a beautiful fossil, whatever it is. The second picture looks more like bryozoan to me, but that doesn't account for the first picture. Hopefully someone will know more! www.fossil-quest.com

ClearLake
I’m with @Rockwood on this one, it looks turtleish to me also. But I’d love for someone to be able to definitively ID it.
Lone Hunter
Just throwing in my turtle shell pics for comparison though mine aren't nearly so good. Dark one is fossil, light one recent. Edge looks almost the same.
Lone Hunter
It looks more like coral on the close up to me, but still learning
Rockwood
The laminated look could represent the juncture of the carapace and plastron. I suspect the texture seen there is likely to vary slightly from the norm.
