Ludwigia
This time I decided to draw some teeth from the group of Megatooth sharks. No point in showing original photos this time, since you all know what they look like. Now that the weather is finally taking a turn for the better, I'll be spending more time in the field again, so it may be a while before I get back to sketching again. And besides, Sara has just arrived and I need to keep her entertained. 13 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Notidanodon
Great job Rodger, you’ve dealt with the highlights very well I hope this doesn’t hijack your thread but I did a mega tooth drawing a while ago so thought I could add it O. Chubutensis Added a few more highlights but I’m away right now so this is the best I’ve got
Top Trilo
Nice Roger, I really like the meg tooth. I can see the attention to detail you have with the shine on the bourlette and all the fine serrations. Now that you have done fish, ammonites, teeth and gastropods, where is the trilobite? Glad the weather is getting better so you can hunt for fossils with Sara but I kind of hope it doesn't last long so you can draw more. Nice job Will, you also did all those tiny serrations, those cusps look hard, keep it up. 2 “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. Kane
Wow, Roger! Of the three, the meg is my favourite in the way you rendered it (maybe on account of it being darker?). You're definitely a quick study for this, but I figured you would be given your already impressive musical skills that seem to transfer well to the ol' pencil and paper. Bravo, good sir! 1 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

Yes, it did help that the Meg was darker than the other ones, although I put the most effort into that one. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Kane
It shows. You even got the "shine" of it near photo perfect. It inspires me to get back to the drawing table myself, which is what good art does to other artists. Do you experience that when you hear excellent music and then get the urge to play? 1 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
