hello, what you have is a rock (sandstone, I think---pixelation issue) that has fractures with secondary quartz infill.  That is to say when the rock was "in position", it was fractured, and silica-rich water flowed through the cracks, slowly precipitating out as quartz crystals that eventually filled in the cracks
