KarenKS
My father, now deceased, found this on a mountain in Southwestern VA in the Roanoke, VA area many years ago. He always wanted to identify it, but we were never able to do so My mother would very much like to know if this is a fossil and if so, what it is. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks. TqB
Welcome to the forum! I think it's a fine example of Arthrophycus, the name given to this form of ancient burrow (Palaeozoic Era) of an unknown invertebrate, probably arthropod or worm.
