Some fossils from Russia

Hey guys,

My name is Alex, I'm from Moscow, Russia. I'm extremely amateur in paleontology so can you please help me to identify some fossils from my collection. I found these fossils about 20 years ago in a small sand quarry 130 km west from Moscow. If you search in google maps the nearest train station is: o.p. 133 km, nearest villlage is Blagoveshchenskoye and Kozino. The fossils were maybe about 2-4 meters deep in the ground (I actually don't remember). The dimension of the first fossil (black one) is 2.4x0.8 cm, the second (grey) is 3.7x2.3 cm. I've always really wanted to know what are these and how old they are..

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum, Alex.

These look like cross sections through brachiopod brachial valve shells.

Cropped rotated, and contrasted:

Thank you! So, these existed starting from 541 to 250 mya from Cambrian to Permian? Is it possible to tell how old those exact samples are?

Alex,

You would have to get a bedrock geological map of the area to figure out the age of these.
