HaileyS
Hello, Newbie here. These are my 9 year olds “dino rocks” as she calls them. All I know is my elderly neighbor gave them to her as his grandkids were grown up now. He had no back story on them at all. He said they were eggs and look really cool. The larger one is 11 lbs! Please any help for my daughter would be great. This is our first post so go easy on us. Lol thank you. ( I did read some of the “newbie” post.) Tidgy's Dad
I think that is a bryozoan colony. Very nice and interesting. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Rockwood
I don't think we have a clear enough look at the target to say. The texture seems to be obscured. I would lean toward it being a chunk of bone however. I think it can be cleaned up a bit more to remove some loose debris and mineral coating. HaileyS
Thanks for the info so far. I didn’t want to go scrubbing on them as they say if you clean a old coin, it will lose all the value or damage it. The texture seems like course sandpaper for sure with obvious “ring” inside. We just like the conversation part for sure.
Rockwood
It wouldn't hurt to get more opinions, but I doubt the same concept applies here. I know what you're saying. It is the case that a good cleaning can flush away thirty or forty grand just like that.

Afterward, new images in sunlight might show more detail. 1 1 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ
HaileyS
I will give them a scrub with soap and water and repost some pics. Any idea how old these would be? I’m researching as much as possible.
