acetabular
I just found this piece in a parking lot in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The stone was taken from some quarry and dumped here, so there is no geographic or temporal control, but I was wondering if it was a trilobite (since that's what it looks like to me). Thanks! Fossildude19
This does indeed look like a trilobite tail shield, or pygidium. Congratulations! Not sure what type it is, but maybe one of our experts will chime in. @piranha @Kane 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." connorp
Doesn't look like any bedrock I've seen from the area. There is a lot of glacial drift and thus a number of gravel pits in the area, that's where I'd guess this came from.
Kane
My best guess so far is possibly a dalmanitid. 1 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
