fossilhunter21
I recently received some micro matrix from @thelivingdead531. Again thank you so much, it is an awesome gift! But I have been trying to ID the shark teeth and can't figure out what any of them for sure are. I would really appreciate any help. Also sorry about the quality of the pics. I may be able to take better pictures, but only if I need to. Edited November 18, 2021 by fossilhunter21
Searcher78
I’m assuming these teeth are small.

thelivingdead531
You are killing it already! Lots of great teeth! The thing that helped with some of my identification is the little guide I sent with it. Once you start staring at all the little teeth it does become a little overwhelming.

fossilhunter21
I decided to edit the list of shark teeth I would like to ID, the teeth that I am keeping look the best out of the rest of the teeth to me. Also it would have taken forever to ID all those teeth in the images above! Edited November 22, 2021 by fossilhunter21
fossilhunter21
Thank you everyone for your responses. It looks like @hemipristis, is correct that #53 (#2 in the new photos) is Carcharhinus perezii, but could #5 in the new photos be Carcharhinus perezii too? fossilhunter21
Also does anyone have any pictures of Odontaspis and/or Carcharias posterior teeth? I am having trouble finding some online. Thanks, fossilhunter21

bthemoose
#13 looks a bit like a thresher (Alopias) but could also be something like Physogaleus. More pics might help to ID it. Edited November 22, 2021 by bthemoose

ClearLake
If you have done so already, go to elasmo.com for many great pictures and information about teeth from this very same formation. Especially once you have a genus in mind or as a suggestion.
