Reminds me a bit of the proximal end of Lepidostrobophyllum mansfieldi cf. L. majus. The size is about right. I am not at all familiar with lungfish.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

I see why you're thinking maybe lungfish but that looks a little irregular and a little too big for a lungfish plate of that time.  I'd be happy to be wrong and looking forward to reading what Jdp, RCFossils, and others experienced with Mazon Creek think about it.

This is another odd one.

I am definitely not seeing this being lungfish material.

Without examining it in person, my best guess is a coprolite.

I have seen them preserved before from the River site with similar preservation.

I haven’t seen one before, do you happen to have an image?

Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt
behind the trailer, my desert
Them red clay piles are heaven on earth
I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt

This is one odd looking concretion, and if I was shown the picture and took a bet that it was a MC concretion, I definitely would have lost that bet. I have no clue on this one.

Definitely doesn't look much like one now. It was one of those frustrating river ones with tons of thin layers that just keeps flaking.

Quite an interesting one. Those bits of black carbonized material would generally lead me to think it was plant material of some sort, but beyond that I don’t know.
