obsessed1 Posted March 31, 2008 Share Posted March 31, 2008 Great finds!! That small mammal tooth appears to be that of a seal. Just found some old photos of a tooth I found at the northern end of the cliffs that resembles yours. It was ID'ed by the head of the Calvert Marine Museum as a milk tooth of a seal. The root had been absorbed by the seal before it dropped out. Sorry I had nothing in the photo for scale. It measures 3/8" wide and 3/8" tall. RB I was looking for a bottle opener at a friends house and found two of them in her kitchen junk drawer. Does that count? Both very big and very chipped.
