Sandfossil
Here is a weird looking rock or didn't know if it could be a type of algae or not. It is very bumpy like where the wormy looking thing is. Curious if anyone could give me any info about it. Found South of Muskogee, Ok. Pennsylvanian lower age, I think it is Bloyd formation. Thank you for any help.
Ludwigia
Looks like sandstone to me. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
abyssunder
The pink spots remind me of coralline algae, but the temporal range is different (Cretaceous - recent vs. Pennsylvanian). 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. fifbrindacier
Hi, that's a sandstone for me too. 1 "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Sandfossil
The only reason I picked it up was it was strange looking and it has a shell imprint on it. Thought it may have been something from what was once the ocean floor. My batting average at fossil identification is sad. I am keeping all my non-fossil sandstone sculptures. But just really wanted to say thank you all for looking and giving me your opinions. The hunt continues...
