opalbug
Howdy Folks, Here's some pictures of another one of my finds from the beaches of Lincoln County, Oregon. This was found many years ago in the beach gravel laying on top of the Oligocene Nye Mudstone. I don't think it is that old. It doesn't seem as solid and well preserved as some of the other teeth and bones that I have found in the area. Anyway, I just thought I would post a few pics for your entertainment. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank You Edited April 9, 2022 by opalbug

Boesse
This definitely looks like a large pinniped tooth - most likely from a steller's sea lion, Eumetopias jubatus. If I PM you, could you provide the exact location? Curious to see if it's from a terrace deposit that has been well-dated. 6
