The photo is a bit blurry, but this looks like a Macroneuropteris leaf.

Cropped and contrasted:

That would put your rocks in the Carboniferous period, : way before dinosaurs.  (Blue words are clickable links.) ;)

I found it In a creek in Indiana. I'm unsure of the stratigraphic level or formation it was found. I'm new obviously lol

Yup. That looks like your first real fossil!

 

Agreed, the texture near the midline does appear to be a pinnule from a tree fern which would (as mentioned) indicate something back from the Carboniferous which is likely more in line with your area. The matrix it is in appears similar to a Mazon Creek sideride concretion.

Nice find!

 

It would be worth looking over the creek gravel for similar concretions. With luck, the source area could be somewhere upstream.

Context is critical.
