steviefossils
Found this chub tooth from NJ Miocene. Tooth is 1.25" on a straight vertical line from left lobe to tip (not along the diagonal). Took a lot of effort: 2.5 years to narrow down a location, and 6 hours of searching. Found it in the last half hr of the trip. Satisfying to have found, but a bigger tooth would have been nice for the effort required. That's just the luck of the hunt though. Hopefully there will be more to come. Thanks for viewing. 1
Fossildude19
That's actually a pretty good sized tooth, for New Jersey streams. Congratulations. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Yeah, I know. I actually found a smaller, near-obliterated chub when I started that day. So I am happy with that. I was just acting like a grumpy child. I'll be down at Calvert in a couple weeks. Hopefully I'll have some 2"-3" teeth to post. Edited June 2, 2022 by steviefossils
