Dino Dad 81
I got another odd man out in my hell creek group. What do you think? The hell creek formation CH: 11mm CBL: 6mm CBW: 3mm Mesial serration density: about 5.5/mm Distal serration density: about 4/mm Serration shape: Hard to tell, given that it looks like half of each denticle is worn away Base cross-section: Almond Mesial carina: Straight Thanks in advance! Troodon
Not sure what to definitively say about this tooth with its state of preservation and very small size. It has characteristics that fit Nanotyrannus, Dakotaraptor or an indet Dromaeosaurid. So in my mind its indet.

Dino Dad 81
I totally forgot I bought a macro lens weeks back and haven't had a chance to use it yet. I whipped it out this morning and took these shots, which may give more information on the denticles' shape and density. These seem to suggest my DSDI was way off and DSDI is closer to 1.6 (i.e., 7:4.5) vs the 1.4 in my previous post. @Troodon, does this help? Picture quality makes such a difference... (It almost looks like there's twist here, but there certainly isn't--Just took this for the denticle density). (No twist) Edited June 26, 2022 by Dino Dad
Troodon
Looks more like a Dromaeosaurid. Now is it Dakotaraptor, don't know. The mesial carina appears to extends to the base which is not typical of the holotype specimens.
