Okay currently still on the water - but have 3 ids I’d like help with while I’m here -

1) first is a Carnivore mammal tooth - it’s got no cementum.

2) Pretty sure tapir?

3) Worlds smallest Meg?

1) Carnivore:

On the 1st, I think you are going a bridge too far.... No cementum ==== carnivore.

Whale teeth have cementum...

What about Mastodon,  tapir,  dugong .... ??

Your 1st tooth seems to be an enamel cap.... no roots... I think it is likely tapir. Not a Carnivore, more like an omnivore.

I believe all mammals produce cementum.

I meant cementum on top of the enamel itself in this case!

So both Tapir? I can’t say I’m gonna complain about that.

my Meg luck is abysmal today, every Meg I’ve found that’s been mostly complete (3 of em) have been tiny. Lol. I’m finding frags of 3-4” Megs too.

Fossils? I dig it. :meg:
