Looks to me like just that: an interestingly shaped rock. I don't think that this is a fossil, but it certainly would help if you could pinpoint the exact location and stratigraphy for us.

On the contrary, I am seeing elements of a steinkern of some coral. - stratigraphy is indeed needed, though.

It was found in the river Nere in Aubigny sur Nere, (47.4931636, 2.4335428) 

it was directly under a large tree which fell down a few years ago.

Around Aubigny sur Nere, mostly flint sands, products resulting from the alteration of Cretaceous marine deposits e/cS and alluvium Fw, but I have no idea for your rock sample
