Theropod hand claw

Per Christian

Recommended Posts

I've seen this listed as an unidentified partial theropod hand claw from the elrazh formation, Gadoufaoua, tenere dessert Niger.

I can't see any red flags but I'm Leary of claws.. the bone structure looks right to me but what do people here think?

It's 4.5 cm long

Looks okay to me no red flags.

Do you have a ventral or dorsal view like to see how fat it is.

Thank you! No unfortunately these are the only angles of the claw that the seller shows

On the surface looks too fat for a hand claw so might be foot but we know very little of the dinosaurs in that deposit.   I'll also raise the issue that you cannot exclude sauropods.  Probably not but without the proximal end one cannot be definitive on any ID.

Cool claw to own, something different from the Elrhaz Formation other than teeth.
